Concert Alert: Jingle Bell Rock

Come check out some of Canada’s promising indie rock bands this Saturday at The Horseshoe at Jingle Bell Rock!
On December 12, 2009, Audio Blood will be teaming up with Third Estate Merchandise to celebrate the company’s one year anniversary. With the support of AUX TV and Exclaim.ca, Audio Blood will be showcasing a handful of their musicians, including The Balconies, Make Your Exit, Clothes Make the Man and Oh No Forest Fires for a night of cheap drinks and great music.
You know you want to come. I meant, the weather outside is frightful.
The show is at the Horseshoe Tavern (368 Queen St. W, Toronto)
on Dec. 12th, 2009.
Cover is 7$.
Doors open at 9 p.m.

Mini Concert Alert- Raised by Swans CD Release Party

Though we are about due for a complete concert alert this is one particularly special one, to let you know that this Friday, December 11 the band Raised by Swans will be holding a CD Release Party at the legendary Horseshoe Tavern.
The band from London, Ontario have seen modest success and have wowed audiences with their dreamy sound.
After hearing three songs from their new album, No Ghostless Place I am sure that it will be an absolutely great album. The songs that I heard, “Hail of Arrows,” “Secret Garden” and “There’s Hope Yet” were strong and solid cuts, no doubt an indication of the album’s overall quality. The aforementioned songs can be heard on their MySpace as well.
If you plan on going to see the show, you might even be lucky enough to get a copy of their album before its general release date of January 11, 2010.
So get out there and check them out. And I’ll try to kick some sense into backdrifter to get a full concert alert soon.
